This elegant Great Egret is a dazzling sight found in the North American wetlands. They are more commonly seen wadding in shallow waters hunting fish, frogs and other small aquatic animals. They are colonial nesters, typically placing stick nests high up in trees, often on islands that are isolated from predators. In the late nineteenth century, they were hunted for their plumes almost to extinction until new conservation laws began to protect them.

Adam is very passionate about being creative, He enjoys teaching and sharing photography and painting techniques with other creative minded people. Main mediums are photography, oil, acrylic and pastel painting. He is also a national competitor in wildlife wood sculpture. His images are up-close and personal, capturing the sprit of many different species of endangered wildlife. His goal while creating beautiful unique art, is to increase a greater awareness about the threats and destruction of wildlife due to encroachment on habitats, poaching, and disease.
